Ssscat how many sprays
Dry thoroughly afterwards. Sometimes air can get trapped in the collar, which will impede the spray to make enough pressure to come out, or the air can be blocking the outlet valve. To remove trapped air: Empty the collar of all spray by pressing down into the spray inlet-valve where you would normally fill it with a small screwdriver or old pen.
Keep your face away from the spray and watch for the small black washer, as it can sometimes fall out. All of the spray should now come out. Continue to press until empty.
It should take seconds to release any air blocked inside. Give the collar a couple of taps on a hard surface to mix everything. Press again with a small screwdriver in case there is anything left. Refill the collar.
Turn it on and test again. Remove the motion detector from the refill can. Turn on the device. Wait 30 seconds. Pass your hand in front of the device. Step 1. Step 2.

Shop PetSafe. This has proven successful in getting my cats off my kitchen counter and away from my plants. I purchased this product when aluminum foil and plastic mats with little spike-like projections failed to deter my kitten. I find they must be passing within around 18 inches for this to work.
Firing is a times inconsistent. I did have some trouble attaching the sensor mechanism to the can of compressed air, probably because my hands are weak.
I do feel the price of this item is excessive. The good news is that Scccat worked when all other deterrents failed. Overall, pleased with this purchase. It takes some time for it to acclimate once you install a new can and turn it on. I think it has to stationary for a period of time before it can start picking up movement. Just turn it on and place it and after about 10 minutes it will start going off with movement.
I got 3 of these. They definitely worked in getting my cat to jump off the counters and table. But, the sensor goes off when I walk past more than 6ft away. Also the spray is way too long in my opinion. No reason for it to spray for that long except to get us to buy more refills… I would love this if the sensor actually sensed 3ft as advertised, and the spray was under 1 second. This item says it sprays at motion 3 feet away. Whenever my husband or I walked by feet away, it would go off.
However, when my cat jumped up onto the table and walked by it at the level of the sensor, it didn't go off at all. It didn't scare him at all, and then I'd just have to come over to set it off, defeating the purpose of having something to spray while I'm not home. I have a multiple cat household and have had spraying issues.
These really work with no harm to the cats. The only thing is they are very hard to attach to the cans. I wish they would make replacement a little easier. Good product. It even scared me! I bring Truman into the garage to see how he reacts. As soon as he gets near the detector, the gas sprays out and Truman jumps almost all the way across the garage!
He is spooked and not happy about it. This is taking "I try it before you buy it" to a whole new level. Obviously, this product works, but you've got to have the heart to use it. While Truman's shaken up, I can assure you he's not hurt. Truman did scat.
He's not going anywhere near the motion detector. This would be great to use on countertops or say a Christmas treewe all know cats like to climb those. But is Ssscat safe? Let's see whatwho elsemy husband the veterinarian has to say.
Hey, he owns the cat! I'd question its contents though. If it's not safe for children, it's not necessarily safe for pets. Definitely use common sense. We don't need to put this on the ground if we crawling toddlers. The warning label even tells you that," says Dr. My husband wishes Ssscat sprayed out water, for example, just to be percent safe.
Ssscat claims the gas it sprays is nontoxic. Lots of product reviews off the Internet show some pleased pet owners, especially those doing some litter box training. Should you use it? That's for you to decide after seeing this week's Does it Work test. I bought Ssscat at Petco in Cape Girardeau.
