How many swings per day

I think it is great that he is dedicated so much to Baseball and loves it so much. Good for him!! Also it would be good for him to do other activities that will help him with agility such as Basketball, Touch Football, Tennis, Soccer. I think it is wonderful, though, to see such dedication. When I was that age my game was Basketball, I used to shoot about free throws a day, 5 days a week and played in pickup games against college kids and adults for hours a day 6 days a week.
It was a lot of fun and really helped my development. So, how many swings should a hitter take a day? Most hitters should take around 50 quality swings per day. Players who are beginners can start with around 20 swings per day and progress up to 50 swings per day while players who are professionals will take around swings per day. Basically, there are two sides to the issue. Taking too many swings can lead to overuse and create problems at all levels of the sport.
Is there really a right number? Does it vary with age and experience? To answer those questions, you need to look at some of the specifics to hone in on the best recommendations. If you'd like to only work out 6 days a week and have a day of rest, I'm fine with that and if you can only give me 3 - 4 days a week with 50 swings for each of those days that's still probably - more practice swings than you would've done and that's all this hitting tip is about.
