Where is atul sharma fast bowler now
According to what Sharma told Spin Cricket , he could have chosen to be inspired by either baseball or javelin. He opted for javelin because the throw comes after a run-up and that is closer to cricket.
During his time with Groski Sharma would achieve rapid progress. Working on brute force, not giving a darn about line and length, he would aim to throw the ball as far as possible, as fast as possible. He would gain arm speed and would bowl further and faster. So, last year Sharma went back to Pont and threw at him the challenge of helping a bowler who had the action and training of a javelin-thrower and who still had to land a ball in the right spot.
For the next seven to eight odd months Pont and Sharma would go back once again to the basics. So we thus have line and length covered by doing those things. By December , which was when the Royals first saw him, Sharma, who bowled in the 72 to 75 mph range in , was clocking an average of 90 mph with his side-arm action, and more importantly, with added control.
MW spent a whole month trying to elicit information about Sharma and his whereabouts, but even his teammates such as Kamran Khan have no idea about who this man is. The trail runs cold here. Is he just a moneyed youngster with a futile obsession or will he one day hurl thunderbolts at batsmen?
I knew that bowlers could bowl fast had something more than just talent. You watch baseball and javelin, and you will realise that one doesn't need a long run up to throw so fast. He coaches javelin at the University of North Carolina. I told him that I wanted to bowl fast. He said he could coach me the basics of javelin and it was up to me to implement it in my bowling.
I trained rigorously with him. I learnt strength conditioning. New posts. Search forums. Log in. Install the app. Hey Guest! We're now moving onto the main event. I just read bout atul sharma on ipl site, if sources are to be believed then he may be the fastest bowler in the world. He is playing for rajasthan royals.
I googled him and found a interview of his coach where he said that atul has a slinging action and managed to clock mph in nets. Yup,mph guys, sounds unbelievable. That should explain why he has been shielded from media thus far. Man royals has a fierce bowling attack now, just imagine atul and tait bowling in tandem wow. I can't wait for saturday.
Joined Jun 20, Profile Flag India. Enough discussion on the guy. I've had enough already. Pont backed him a lot and suffered because of Atul running away. Can we have at least one video of him actually bowling a bit and pitching the ball? I don't want to see whether he lifts tires or entire cars during his workout. I could care less. The same training video shows his bowling at the end, he had two actions at that time developed with the help of Ian Pont and a Javelin coach:.
I have seen that but bowling to 3 stumps in the nets is totally different from bowling a spell against quality batsmen on a real cricket pitch. LOL how do you expect to see a spell against a Quality batsmen when he has not played any match at any level, this is the best we can get from youtube and the rest we can infer from what Ian Pont said about him.
If you read the first post of this thread, he clearly says he has the aim of playing club cricket, these 7 years he should have played cricket instead of doing a runner on Pont and maybe he could have become a cricketer. Phir se. Ian Pont. What was he doing for last 7 years? If he was so good, why didnt he play in so many years after his injury? Is he ready to do same training again and bowl the way he did after 7 years?
Was still doing same training while not playing? There are so many questions and this article doesnt answer anyone. This to me looks a fake news. Atul was busy romancing Rhea Pillai and fighting Leander Paes, he is not one of those people who will lie low for a long period of time.
Atul Sharma is not a cricketer, so no point comparing him whether he is good or average or bad. Just someone who wanted to play cricket and trained hard for it then left everything after a big injury and in the process ruined his reputation and also caused financial and mental harm to Ian Pont who supported him a lot but Atul did't pay heed to his advise on injury management etc.
Would like this guy to atleast bowl fast and break down.. I felt Pont was genuine. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Sign up for a new account in our community. It's easy! Already have an account? Sign in here. Existing user?
